December 13, 2005Happy Holidays to you all!!! We know you're all getting into the Holiday spirit. And there's no better way to celebrate than with HALF STAR HOTEL!!! Join us for our annual Christmas show. We've got some cool Christmas tunes to sprinkle in with the other stuff you love to hear. So come on down to Fitzpatrick's Pub (1145 Park Ave. Cranston) this Saturday, December 17th and celebrate the season with Half Star. Bring your mistletoe and hang it where ever you want. See you there, HSH October 18, 2005Hello Everyone, As you may have noticed, halfstarhotel.com has been down for a few weeks. We were in the process of changing servers. Good news... we're up and running again! In other news, we'll be playing at Fitzpatricks Pub in Cranston on December 17. If you haven't seen us there you should surely come to this show. It's starting to feel like home to us. See you soon, and thanks for your continued support. Half Star Hotel June 2, 2005What's up y'all We know you've all been anxiously awaiting some news from Half Star Hotel. Things have been awfully hectic around the old Half Star lately. What with Summer vacations and the stork visiting a couple staff members, it's tough getting all of us together. But we are still chuggin' along. We're polishing up those originals you heard so much about. Some of you have actually heard them. We whipped out 4 of them at the last show at Fitzpatrick's. Speaking of Fitzpatricks...thanks to everyone who showed up that night. We had an absolute BLAST!!! It was great to see all the familiar faces, as well as some new ones. We hope the new ones become familiar too. Anyway, we'll be back on the scene on July 2nd at The Rocky Point Pub in Warwick. Come on down and help us break the ice at Rock Point. See you soon, HSH April 11, 2005Thanks to everyone who came out to support us recently at the Red Rock and at JR's. It's tough to play everyone's favorite songs when you're only playing one set a night. If you feel the same way, come on down to Fitzpatrick's on Saturday, May 7th where we'll be playing all night long. Get your requests in now! Your friends at the Half Star Hotel March 28, 2005Spring is here, and we'll be feeling it soon. Half Star Hotel will be feeling it at the Red Rock Bar & Grill Friday, April 1st. We'll be opening for Chase. We're slotted to perform from 9:30 to 10:30, one solid hour of pure Rock and Roll including some originals you've been hearing about. We hope to see you there. Get there early and say hello. David March 23, 2005Spring is in the air (snow is on the ground). Soon birds will be singing, trees will be budding, flowers will be blooming... ahhh, Benadryl Season! It's also time to get your Half Star Hotel fix. We'll be playing at JR's Bourbon Street Rockhouse on Saturday, April 9, 2005 with Unforgiven (a tribute to Metallica). Visit www.mardigrasmulticlub.com/BandCalender.htm for info and directions. At this show, we will unveil some of the Half Star originals that you have been hearing so much about. Recorded versions of the songs are still a few months away. We'll keep you all well informed right here at halfstarhotel.com. February 10, 2005The Crowes are BACK; and so are we! January was a very interesting month at the ol' Half Star Hotel. Where have we been? I'll tell you where. We pulled down the shades, locked the door, disconnected the phone, rolled up our sleeves, and got to work on some new sounds of our own. That's right...we're talking original music from Half Star Hotel. You may have heard one or two of these gems at some of our more recent shows. Well, as the saying goes, you ain't heard nothin' yet. In the coming months, we will be hitting the studio to get these songs recorded so that they can be unleashed across the great information superhighway. Keep checking the website for your chance to hear songs like "Mystified", "Accommodations", "Spare a Smile", and more. If you're still looking to hear the sounds of Zeppelin, Aerosmith, the Stones, the Crowes, etc. have no fear; we love playing that stuff as much as you love hearing it. But now, we'll have some songs of our own to add to the mix. We can't say this enough: thank you for your continued support! See you soon, H.S.H. |
